Your Chiropractor: Dr. Margot Monmousseau
I am a French chiropractor. I love to help people, go outdoors, swim, and enjoy life. I went to Palmer College of Chiropractic West – California, USA – to obtain my Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree and I have passed all 4 parts of the American National Boards of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE).
I first obtained my Bachelor in Science, specialized in Kinesiology: the scientific study of body movement, at UNLV, Las Vegas, USA. Then I went to Palmer College of Chiropractic West to become a Chiropractor. After a total of 8 years of study in the United States, I was honored to be selected as an intern in a Veterans’ hospital clinic and I had the opportunity to treat many veterans and to shadow and work with a variety of different medical professions.
After graduating and traveling in Asia/Oceania, I worked as an associate chiropractor in a clinic in Ireland before deciding to move back to France.
My chiropractic approach is to look at the body as a whole and address it as such. For example, if you come in because of pain in your foot, although I will assess your feet, I will also check your knees, hips and spine as I aim to address the cause of your pain, and not just the symptoms.
To do so, I use many different techniques and reeducation tools so I can adapt to each patients needs. These include but are not limited to:
- Diversified chiropractic adjusting techniques (including HVLA: high-velocity, low-amplitude)
- Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS)
- Thompson “drops”
- Myofascial Release Technique (MRT)
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
I am a member of the French Association of Chiropractic (AFC).
I am part of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) as I have passed the International Certification in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC). I am also part of the Council of French Chiropractic Sports (CFCS).
I am a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and of the French Chiropractic Pediatcric Association (AFCP). I am currently working on completing the Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) which both specialize in family care with a focus on pregnancy and pediatrics.
I regularly participate in Chiropractic Continued Education (CCE) seminars to stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving sciences and make sure I am treating my patients to the best of my abilities and knowledge.
Although I am French, I have lived over 15 years in English speaking countries so I am always happy to welcome you and communicate in English if it’s your preference.
